HOVETON HALL 5K SERIES

 

Come and join us at the Spectacular Hoveton Hall. We offer a unique opportunity to run at one of Norfolks premier Country Estates. The events will adhere to all Gov't Social Distancing guidelines and we will adapt our procedures to ensure we are fully up to date.  For more information click here.

The 5K looped course will take in all the very best scenic views on offer, panoramic views of the Hall, woodlands, beautiful gardens, grassy fields and sculpture trail and will include our very own social distancing medal to commemorate these strange times. Run on your own, with friends, family or running groups.

 

There are 4 early waves with a maximum of 15 entrants  if you want to run in a small group. All remaining waves starting from 9:45am will have a maximum of 35 runners. You will be required to book your wave start time when registering online. Runners are required to arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before the booked start time.  All race information will be sent by email. Your bib number and medal will be sent by post. Separate start and finish lines will ensure runners arriving at the start and runners who have just finished will not mix.

Results

WHAT TO EXPECT

 

RACE ROUTE


The course will be a 5K loop. The start line is 400m away from the finsih line. Runners arriving to start and runners who have just finished will not mix. The course is mixed terrain with open grass land, track and short tarmac sections and will be clearly marked with flouresenct signs. Runners will start in groups of 5 with the fastest runners going earlier in the day and slower runners and groups starting in later waves. Once you have completed the run you can head straight to your car. The course will be wide enough to allow overtaking of at least 2m spacing. It will be a looped course with a separate start and finish line. Ensuring Runners arriving at the start and runners who have just finished will not mix. THE START LINE All participants will be given a wave start time between 8.30am and 4pm, with a maximum of 5 runner going every 5 minutes. Fastest runners will start from 8.30am going through to the slowest runners and groups running in the later waves. You will be allocated a wave start time according to your predicted time given at registration. THE FINISH LINE When you cross the finish line you can go straight to your car with no interaction with any staff or other runners. Your time will be automatically recorded by ChipTimingUK

FACILITY INFORMATION


Toilets will be available. No water stations or refreshments. Parking will be clearly marked. There will be no bag drop facilities.

The Car park will be clearly marked out making sure you can adhere to social distancing.




KEY INFORMATION - INCLUDING SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES


The event will fully comply with the most upto date Gov't guidelines available and we will update our procedures as and when neccesary. Our committment to you is to deliver a safe, controlled event you can enjoy. REGISTRATION All registration is online. No registration on the day. POSTAL SERVICE All bib numbers, timing tags and medals will be posted out pre-race. All packets will be made up as far in advance of the event. The persons packing the packets will wear face masks, gloves and use alcohol-based hand gel. THE COURSE The course will be wide enough to allow overtaking of at least 1+m spacing. It will be a looped course with a separate start and finish line. Ensuring Runners arriving at the start and runners who have just finished will not mix. THE START LINE All participants will choose a wave start time at the point of registration, with a maximum of 5 runner going every 5 minutes. 2 metre distancing will be required at the start area. THE FINISH LINE When you cross the finish line you can go straight to your car with no interaction with any staff or other runners. Your time will be automatically recorded by ChipTimingUK MEDIC A fully trained private medic will be on site. STAFF Inspire Races Staff will be clearly visable. It will be our role to ensure that social distancing is adhered to throughout the day. All staff will have face masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer available to them. WATER STATIONS There will be NO water stations or refreshments available at the event. You will need to bring your own water supply. There will not be a bag drop. TOILETS Portable toilets will be available and will disinfected in line with requirements.

VIRTUAL 5K

 

If you would prefer to not take part in the physical event you can complete the 5K distance in your own time over the weekend of the event using the virtual race service provided by ChipTimingUK.

 

You will receive a medal in the post and will be able to download an E-Certificate from the ChipTimingUK results page post-race.

HOW IT WORKS

 

  • Complete your run over the weekend of the event and keep a record of your time.

  • Visit the results page for your race at http://www.chiptiminguk.co.uk/results

  • You will require your confirmation number sent via email from ChipTimingUK

  • Select Submit a virtual result

  • Enter your last name and confirmation number details

  • Submit your time

  • Upload a photo of your result to show proof of your finish time.
