THETFORD TRAILS 10k
Leave the tarmac and traffic behind and join us on the beautiful trails of Thetford Forest. This atmospheric location, with its tall pines, brings each runner a little closer to nature. Enjoy the sounds of nature whilst completing 2 laps of our 5k course, which has winding trails on great quality tracks.
The race starts and finishes at High Lodge, which is a recreational site set in the heart of Thetford Forest. Runners will start in waves of a maximum of 30, with 90 minutes between each event. You will be required to book your event start time when registering online. Runners are required to arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before the booked start time. All race information will be sent by email. Your bib number and timing chip will be sent by post. Limited wave start times will ensure runners arriving at the start and runners who have just finished will not mix.
Chip timing is provided for each event so that runners can monitor their improvement across each race. Headphones are allowed.

WHAT TO EXPECT
The course will be a 5K loop. The start line is 400m away from the finish line. Runners arriving to start and runners who have just finished will not mix. The course is on high quality tracks and trails, track and will be clearly marked with fluorescent signs. Once you have completed the run you can head straight to your car.
The course will be wide enough to allow overtaking of at least 2m spacing. It will be a looped course with a separate start and finish line. Ensuring Runners arriving at the start and runners who have just finished will not mix.
THE START LINE
All participants will have chosen a start time between 8am and 4pm, with a maximum of 5 runner going every 15 minutes.
THE FINISH LINE
When you cross the finish line you can go straight to your car with no interaction with any staff or other runners. Your time will be automatically recorded by ChipTimingUK.
The Car park will be clearly marked out making sure you can adhere to social distancing. A car park code will be emailed out to you prior to the event. This will allow you to take advantage of the reduced parking.
KEY INFORMATION - INCLUDING SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES
All registration is online. No registration on the day.
All bib numbers and timing chips will be posted out pre-race. All packets will be made up as far in advance of the event. The persons packing the packets will wear face masks, gloves and use alcohol-based hand gel.

THE START LINE
All participants will choose a wave start time at the point of registration, with a maximum of 30 runners going every 15 minutes starting at 9.15am. 2 metre distancing will be required at the start area.
Cani-cross wave goes at 9am with two runners every 20 seconds.

When you cross the finish line you can go straight to your car with no interaction with any staff or other runners. Your time will be automatically recorded by ChipTimingUK
A fully trained private medic will be on site.
Inspire Races Staff will be clearly visible. It will be our role to ensure that social distancing is adhered to throughout the day. All staff will have face masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer available to them.
There will be NO water stations or refreshments available at the event. You will need to bring your own water supply. There will not be a bag drop.
Toilets will be available and will disinfected in line with requirements.
VIRTUAL 5K & 10K
If you would prefer to not take part in the physical event you can complete the 5K distance in your own time over the weekend of the event using the virtual race service provided by ChipTimingUK.
You will receive a medal in the post and will be able to download an E-Certificate from the ChipTimingUK results page post-race.
