BRIGHTER NIGHTS  is a series of after-dark trail running events that take place at unique venues in East Anglia.  We use exciting lighting effects to pick out interesting features such as spectacular mansions and natural features. The courses are marked with reflective signs - all you need is a head torch and some grippy trail trainers. There is a virtual option too!

Set in 250 acres of beautiful Suffolk parkland, Haughley Park is a privately-owned country estate. Surrounded by ancient woodlands and excellent trails and paths with a stunning Jacobean manor house at its heart. The 5K course meanders through the estate with some of the best features lit up for you to enjoy. The first wave of runners starts at 4:30pm with the last wave setting off at 8pm. There will be waves of 15 runners every 10 minutes.






How does the recruitment process look like for research divisions?

  1. Apply online with a CV/resume and covering letter
  2. Digital Meet and Greet (an asynchronous short video interview)
  3. Sample report writing
  4. Final behavioural and technical interview
Applicants receive full information and guidance on each step by email.

How does the recruitment process look like for support divisions?

All support functions openings are considered on a rolling basis. For support openings, we involve only the Human Capital team and the support division head.

  1. Apply online with your CV/resume and covering letter (check job description)
  2. Solve a digital assessment (numerical and situational judgement assessment or video immersive practical interview)
  3. Final interview covering behavioural and competency-based questions (depending on the job, we may also ask you to complete a management-based case study or include technical questions)

What’s the recruitment timeline for research divisions?

  • We accept applications year-round, but we screen and assess candidates based on monthly volumes
  • You can apply online and complete the digital Meet and Greet at any time throughout a month (from the 1st to the last day of the month)
  • At the beginning of the month following your application, the Recruitment Committee (Human Capital and several heads or associates) will select candidates for the report writing stage
  • Once the deadline for report writing has passed, submissions will be evaluated and commented by selected business heads
  • We invite candidates for an interview and extend offers to the successful ones
For example: if you apply on the 3rd of March, you can complete the Meet and Greet by the 7th of March, yet you will be progressed to the report writing stage only in the first week of April, only after being benchmarked against other candidates.

Why do you have such a thorough recruitment process for research positions?

Based on our experience, we realized that we need a better benchmark for our candidates. We want to have a more efficient grasp of the quality and skill level of the candidates while considering diversity and inclusivity factors as well. To ensure the high quality of our member experience, we signficantly expanded our report teams involvement in our recruiting efforts to better spot and assess high-calibre talent and a good fit of your talents to your position.

What should I do if I’m interested in more than one opening?

We are fully aware that Focus Finance offers several exciting and challenging initiatives. If you have multiple divisions you are interested in, prioritize the list, and apply to your #1 choice. You will have the option to express your interest in other divisions throughout the recruitment process and during onboarding.

Will I receive feedback on my performance?

We are providing written feedback for all sample reports that have been submitted to us and for final interview performances. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide feedback for candidates not successful in the online application or the Meet and Greet stage.

What happens if I’m rejected at any stage in the process?

We’re genuinely sorry about this – we know this is far from good news. Following the EU's GDPR, we will store your candidate profile and let you know in case more suitable openings pop up. We encourage you to do so. In the application form, you will need to state your expected graduation date, and if you are a final year student, to indicate whether you plan on undertaking a Master's degree or joining the workforce. What’s the last date for entries?

The last date for entries is the Friday before the event.

How do I get my Race number?

Please bring your entry confirmation email.You will collect your race number on the day at registration.

I am ill injured or unable to run, what can I do?

You can defer your entry to any other Inspire Races event of a similar price. Please email with the race details you would like to defer to.

Can I swap my place with a friend?

You can transfer your place up to two weeks prior to the event.

Do you have a waiting list?


Can I wear earphones or use an ipod?

You can wear headphones to any event that does not use public roads.

How do I enter a Corporate Team?

Please contact to arrange a group discount booking.

Is there a cut-off time for your events?

We do not have cut off times.

How do I enter Inspire races events?

Enter via the links on the Inspire Races website.

What is the last date for deferrals and category transfers?

Deferrals and category changes can be done up to two weeks prior to the event.

Where do I pick up my t-shirt?

T-shirts are collected from the shop at registration.

Where can I put my bag and/or clothing I don’t want during the race?

There is a bag drop available at all Inspire Races events.

What time does my Race start?

Please visit the event website page to review the race schedule for up-to-date information.

What time do I need to get there?

Please get there one hour before race start time.

Are there any refreshments?

Refreshments will be available on the day from the catering facilities.

Where are the drinks stations?

Drink stations are every 5k.

Where can I collect my race pack?

Race packs to be collected from race registration on the day.

Are there any entries on the day?

Entries will be available on the day at an increased price if there is availability. Please check the website to see if event is sold out.

What happens if I arrive late and miss the start of the race?

As long as you are not later than 15minutes, we will let you run.

Where is the Chip in the Race Pack?

The timing tag is in the race pack. This will need to go on your shoe or it will already be attached to your bib.

Is parking available near the start?

Parking is available near the start.

Where should I go when I arrive?

Go registration pick up your race pack, you are then ready to run.

Do you have a bag drop area?

Yes, bag-drop will be situated near registration.

Do I get a medal?

Yes, you will get a medal.

Can I park nearby?

Yes, you can.

Will there be an award ceremony?

Yes, once the results have come in.
